Roberlo, an international leader in solutions for the refinishing of vehicles and industrial surfaces, has reaffirmed its commitment to excellence in training by inaugurating the renovated Crom Competence Center, an investment amounting to 2 million euros. Strategically located in the heart of the company's European hub in Riudellots de la Selva (Girona), this state-of-the-art center offers theoretical and practical training programs tailored to meet the needs of customers around the world.
With an expansion that multiplies the training space by 6, the new facilities cover more than 770 m2 , allowing for two simultaneous training sessions with a total capacity of 30 people. Each group has its own room for theoretical training, application booth, paint box and changing room, ensuring an optimal learning environment without interference. In addition, there is also a break room and office for the training technicians.
The space has been designed to offer a first-class training experience to customers, which stands out for its ability to adapt to the specific conditions of each region with total comfort. The application booths are equipped with the latest technology in the industry. For example, in addition to being made of glass so that the application can be observed from the outside, they allow the degree of humidity and temperature to be adjusted to recreate the environmental conditions found in certain geographical areas.
According to Llorenç Juher, CEO of Roberlo, "The new Crom Competence Center will enable us to significantly increase the volume and quality of our training courses". This center is capable of training more than 4,000 people annually, reaffirming the company's commitment to training.
A global commitment to training
The training of professionals in the sector has been part of Roberlo's identity for many years and has constantly adapted and evolved to meet the needs of customers and the sector.
A team of more than 26 technical training professionals from all continents are responsible for providing theoretical and practical sessions to customers, either at Roberlo's own facilities in Spain, Italy, Canada or the Netherlands, or at the customer's own facilities.
In 2021, Roberlo also created Crom Campus (www.cromcampus.com), the successful online training platform for bodywork refinishing and industrial coatings. This initiative seeks to democratize training, making it accessible to everyone interested in these sectors, offering free courses, articles and webinars, in an easy, enjoyable and remote way.
Another one of the commitments that Roberlo has been making for almost two decades in this area is its collaboration with public educational centers that offer vocational training in these sectors, with the aim of promoting and improving the training and qualifications of future professionals in the sector. Last year, more than 5,000 students from 40 different centers received training with Roberlo and Disolac products.
